BLUESIL RT FOAM 3230 A

​BLUESIL™ RT Foam 3230 A/B is a two-component silicone foam which cures at room temperature by an addition cure reaction. When the A and B liquid components are thoroughly mixed in 1:1 ratio, the product will expand and cure to a foamed elastomer at room temperature.

The Parts A and B can have filler separation. Before using, stir the individual parts thoroughly in order to re-homogenize them to ensure a uniform final foam. For small batch mixing by hand, Parts A and B must be mixed thoroughly and the sides and bottom of the container need to be scraped thoroughly to insure proper foam formation. Power mixing can also be done, but simple dispensing and static mixing is not recommended.

The mixed product should be quickly transferred into the desired application site. BLUESIL™ RT Foam 3230 A/B has been specifically designed with a favorable 1:1 mix weight ratio to suit robotic application via meter/mix/dispense equipment. The type and degree of mixing and shear can significantly affect the cell structure, cure, and density of the final foam product.

Handling precaution: Immediately upon mixing the foam Parts A and B, a chemical reaction takes place that results in the evolution of flammable hydrogen gas. APPROPRIATE CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED.
