29/06/2012 -  Bluestar Silicones will present its range of silicones for rubber industries at DKT 2102, in Nuremberg

Lyon, June, 27th 2012. Bluestar Silicones, one of the world’s leading silicones manufacturers, will present its range of silicones for rubber industries at DKT 2012, taking place from July 2nd to July 5th, 2012 in Nuremberg.

Bluestar Silicones produces a wide range of silicone elastomers with outstanding properties that are used for many different industrial applications:
• Piping in fluid circuitry and sealing: joints for building construction and aeronautical application, automotive gasket, boots and hoses
• Electrical protection: office equipment, safety cables and insulators for electro-technical applications, spark plug boots, cables and connectors for automotive application
• Food, pharmaceutical and biomedical applications: tubes, profiled sections are made using heat cure elastomers which are specially formulated to comply with European and American regulations.

Stable, high performance polymers
Silicones outperform most other polymers: they have remarkable spreading capability coupled with outstanding resistance to extreme temperatures, UV and IR radiation as well as many other external agents. Silicones rank among the very highest performance polymers.

New silicones for Automotive industries
One of the latest developments of Bluestar Silicones is the HD Series especially designed for Heavy Duty automotive “under the hood” applications (Turbocharger hoses, exhaust gas recycling system, coolant hoses, intercoolers seals, gaskets). This series brings high mechanical performance (tensile, elongation, tear), as well as low compression set for extended periods at extreme temperatures, thermal stability up to 250°C, good fluid resistance (oil and cooling), adhesion to FKM elastomers. This product range has a low density (compared to the most common oil resistant silicones HCR) and can be processed by all the standard technologies: extrusion, calendaring, injection and compression molding.

Taylor-made services
In order to better serve its customers, Bluestar Silicones has developed the Mix & Fix Centers®, specialized formulation and packaging units, located at the center of major rubber and elastomer converter regions. Besides selling master batches and other products, these centers develop, within short lead times, products according to the specifications and the equipments of each Bluestar Silicones’ customers.

“Bluestar Silicones is able to provide to all rubber industries a full range of products and technologies bringing the right solution for any current or future requirements” says Gabriela AGUIAR, Global Business Manager Bluestar Silicones.
